Pan the Panda trains in martial arts along the Great Wall of China.
JLPT N4 stories are longer and bring in te-form, casual speech, conditionals, and chained verbs. The narratives start adding slight twists — family, hobbies, work, and school told with more nuance.
パン は 、 中国 の 山 に 住む パンダ です 。 彼 は 毎日 、 武術 の 練習 を しています 。 2 年 前 から 、 師匠 と 一緒に 、 万里 の 長城 で 特別な トレーニング を 続けています 。
Pan is a panda who lives in the mountains of China. Every day, he practices martial arts. For two years, together with his master, he has been continuing special training at the Great Wall of China.
毎朝 、 パン は 竹 を 食べて 力 を つけます 。 パンダ の 食べ物 は ほとんど 竹 です 。 パン は たくさん 食べて 、 トレーニング に 備えます 。
Every morning, Pan eats bamboo to gain strength. A panda’s food is mostly bamboo. Pan eats a lot and prepares for training.
今日 は 、 師匠 と 一緒に 万里 の 長城 で トレーニング です 。 長城 の 石 の 階段 を 何度 も 上り 下り して 、 パン は 足 を 強く しました 。 師匠 は 「 もっと 速く ！ 」 と 声 を かけました 。
Today, Pan trains with his master at the Great Wall. By going up and down the stone steps of the Wall many times, Pan strengthened his legs. The master called out, “Faster!”
トレーニング の 後 、 パン は お寺 で 武術 の 練習 を します 。 今日 は パンチ と キック の 練習 です 。 「 力 を 入れて ！ 」 と 師匠 が 教えました 。 パン は 一生懸命 練習 しました 。
After training, Pan practices martial arts at the temple. Today is practice of punches and kicks. “Put in strength!” the master instructed. Pan practiced with all his effort.
午後 も 、 パン は また 万里 の 長城 を 走りました 。 「 いつか 自分 の 銅像 が この 長城 に 立つ ように 、 もっと 強く なる ん だ ！ 」 と パン は 思いました 。
In the afternoon as well, Pan ran again on the Great Wall. “Someday, so that my statue will stand on this Wall, I will become stronger!” Pan thought.
夜 に なる と 、 パン は 家 に 帰って 竹 を 食べながら 休みます 。 疲れます が 、 パン は 毎日 もっと 強く なる ために 頑張っています 。
At night, Pan returns home and rests while eating bamboo. He gets tired, but every day Pan works hard to become stronger.
